1. The form will allow you to become a new member, renew your membership, change your address, change the method of receiving the journals, and view your membership record. You also may enter biographical data as preliminary information for the AEA Directory of Members. Information required on the forms is indicated by "*". Please do not include any spaces or dashes when entering your telephone number, fax number, or zip code. Contact the AEA office with requests for name changes.

2. You will need your account number to enter information on your record. This was mailed to you previously. If you did not receive it, or have lost it, please contact the AEA at aeainfo@vanderbilt.edu . Your account number will be mailed to you. For problems: Tel.(615)322-2595 or Fax (615)343-7590.

3. The site is password protected. You were sent a temporary password with your account number. Change it ASAP. You are not required to use the same password as you created for access to e-pubs. In fact, we recommend you use a different password. Your password is to be entered twice. In order to change the password, the old password has to be entered.

4. For your protection, we do not process orders until authorization is received from your credit card company. In some circumstances, this may cause a delay. Your transaction will be confirmed by e-mail. Do not hit the “stop” or “back” button once you have clicked “submit”; otherwise, your application may not be submitted in its entirety. Do not “submit” information more than once.

5. Allow time for processing of your membership. Immediate access to online journals is not available; please allow approximately 2-3 weeks. Online access is restricted to your personal use.

6. If you do not wish to submit your payment online, you may complete the form from your screen and print it. You also may download the form and print clearly or type your information.

7. Do not fax/mail the form if you enter the information on-line. If you fax the form, send it to (615)343-7590. If you mail the form (including payment by check) send it to AEA, 2014 Broadway, Suite 305, Nashville, TN 37203. If you mail/fax an address change and enter it online, the online information will be the information maintained.

8. Verify all charges and your membership expiration date before submitting. Please read instructions before completing the Directory information. It is the policy of the Association not to refund membership payments.

9. User password should contain at least 4 characters. Maximum length of user password can not be more than 10 characters.
